Raised patio area from French doors
Project Overview
Our client had recently extended his home, adding beautiful bi-folding French doors that opened onto the garden. However, the renovation created a steep drop from the new doors to the outdoor space, making the transition awkward and limiting usability.
To resolve this, we constructed a simple raised patio that seamlessly connects the house to the garden, allowing the outdoor area to feel like a natural extension of the living space. The patio also benefits from being a natural sun trap, providing a warm and inviting spot for relaxation.
From the patio, a set of steps leads down into the garden’s allotment area, ensuring easy access while creating a practical and attractive flow between the different levels of the garden.
