Large garden with bespoke summerhouse in Pontefract
Project Overview
Once under-utilised and fragmented, the garden previously suffered from large areas of dead space and three disconnected sections that left the client unsure how to make the most of it. Our redesign introduced a clear, cohesive layout that transformed the space into a functional and welcoming outdoor retreat.
We replaced the old paving with elegant sawn sandstone and created generous, low-maintenance planting beds that bring structure and year-round interest. A practical, well-proportioned lawn provides space for relaxation and everyday use.

Bespoke Summerhouse
The centrepiece of the new garden is a bespoke summerhouse, designed entirely around the client’s needs. Large enough to accommodate a comfortable sofa and a gas fire for cooler evenings, it also offers dedicated space for outdoor cooking. Carefully positioned windows allow natural light to flood the interior, making it an inviting spot at any time of day. The bespoke design process ensured the client had maximum input, resulting in a truly personalised feature that anchors the whole garden.
