Garden built around stream in Horsforth, Leeds
Project Overview
Our client’s garden is split by a deep stream, presenting the challenge of creating a design that maximized usability. We were tasked with developing and building a solution that would seamlessly connect both sides, making the entire space functional and enjoyable for the whole family.
Garden Design
We designed a spacious porcelain patio, accommodating a dining area, hot tub, and sun loungers, all surrounded by lush planting to create a sense of immersion in nature. To connect the garden across the stream, we constructed two bridges—one large deck and a smaller access bridge. The stream was reinforced with tiered sleeper walls, each planted with hardy species suited to shady, damp conditions. In the woodland section, a winding bark path meanders through the trees, leading to a summerhouse and shed.
