Contemporary garden in Morley

Project Overview

This project transforms a compact outdoor space into a refined, multi-functional garden designed for both relaxation and entertaining. Blending contemporary materials with layered planting and ambient lighting, the garden creates a seamless extension of the home—inviting, intimate, and usable throughout the day and into the evening.

A composite deck provides a central seating area, framed by bespoke raised planters that introduce structure, greenery, and seasonal interest. Carefully selected planting softens the architectural lines while adding texture and depth, ensuring the space feels lush without overwhelming its clean, modern aesthetic.

A key architectural feature of the project is the bespoke timber-clad car port, designed to integrate effortlessly with the house and garden. More than a practical addition, it acts as a visual anchor—its clean lines and warm materials reinforcing the overall design. Complementing this is a hidden door feature, seamlessly concealed within the vertical cladding. This detail adds a sense of craftsmanship and intrigue, maintaining uninterrupted lines while providing discreet access.

Lighting plays a central role in defining the atmosphere. Subtle uplighting highlights planting and boundaries, while overhead lights and integrated fixtures create a soft, welcoming glow after dusk—perfect for outdoor dining or unwinding.
