Contemporary garden in Chapel Allerton

Project Overview

This project represented a dramatic transformation. When the client moved into the property, the front garden was small, and the entire rear of the house was dominated by a large garage and expanses of tarmac. As a result, the only usable outdoor space was effectively a driveway, offering no area for relaxation or enjoyment.

The garden now features elegant porcelain paving, lush natural lawn turf, stepping stones set within resin-bound gravel, and corten-edged planting beds that add structure and warmth. The rear boundary, previously an unattractive brick wall, was transformed by cladding, giving it a far more natural and appealing appearance. The result is a harmonious, practical, and beautifully inviting garden that completely reshaped how the client can enjoy their home.

Garden Design

Our design reimagined the plot completely. We incorporated a new garage within the layout so that it became part of a cohesive scheme rather than an overpowering structure. This allowed us to reclaim a generous portion of the space for a true garden—complete with dedicated areas for seating, dining, and everyday outdoor living.
