Garden Design Brief

• Create a more attractive entrance and approach to the rear garden from the side gate
• Seating area in front of extension - use existing furniture
• Create focal point in the far south west corner as this is a major part of the view from the house– maybe use existing arbor seat
• Make the garden relate better to the architecture of the house
• Raised seating area to west side of garden with space for hot tub
• Seating area in south east corner to catch evening sunshine
• Incorporate raised beds to divide the space and make gardening easier
• Link the different garden areas together
• Consider pleached trees along southern boundary to maintain privacy as well as create a feature
• Large conifer at south east corner of house to be removed
• Conifer hedge along eastern boundary to be replaced with a new hedge maybe hornbeam due to damp conditions
• Retain lawn
• Include garden lighting
• Planting to include blues/purples
