In our gardens, over the past 10 years our patios have often been replaced with, or accompanied by, a decking area. Our love of decking goes back hundreds of years to great ships and colonial homes. But in the 21st century, decking has become an essential feature of UK home landscaping, providing a way to connect the outdoors to the indoors and extend living areas. We regularly use three main types of decking.

PINE

Manufactured from northern European kiln dried pine, pine decking board is hard-wearing and long-lasting. All pine timber comes pressure-treated to ensure durability. Pine does require some regular ukeep, but if the easy-to-maintain schedule is followed, pine decking can last many years and will provide an attractive seating space to your garden. Pine decking can be installed with a grooved or smooth finish to the surface.
